Location

The Tosco Marmi Group has the property of the  extractive basin of Suvereto, located 100 km south from the city of Carrara, in Tuscany. The basin is active since 60 years ago and it is located on a small rocky height called Monte Peloso, entirely framed by the alluvial soils of Val di Cornia. The site is composed of a big area in which are now present three active quarries.

Materials

The Marble from Suvereto has  been classified according to its configuration, its veins and its colors. The color varies from dark and light gray  to red. This kind of materials are appreciated on the market especially for their great polishing capacities and are known with the name of Grigio Fior di Bosco (Grey Fleury) and Grigio Brecciato (Grey Sonata).

Their classic effect is well appreciated by architects and new uses are being rediscovered in contemporary buildings, especially for interior wide locations. In addition to these two marble qualities the Tosco Marmi Group is also planning to start extracting also the Rosso di Suvereto and the Noisette Fleury, two classic materials universally known and appreciated in the stone market.
